AXA XL has appointed Ramesh Sivanathan as Principal Officer for its Labuan branch, expanding his remit beyond his role, the company said on LinkedIn on Monday September 8.
Sivanathan, who has been Business Development Lead for Malaysia since July 2023, will now take on regulatory responsibilities in addition to driving growth initiatives in the Malaysian market. The company said his market knowledge and track record would support integrated growth and expansion in the region.
“It is a privilege to have the opportunity to deepen my commitment to our team and partnership in this vibrant economy,” said Sivanathan.
The appointment follows a series of leadership changes across Asia in recent months, including Vincent Shiu’s appointment as Client Relationship Leader for Asia in June and Bipin Titus joining as Underwriter for Liability and Cyber at AXA XL India in August.
