AXA XL has announced two key appointments with Julijana Sumner being promoted to Chief Claims Officer, APAC and Europe and Sandhya Louis being appointed as Chief Operating Officer, APAC and Europe.
Sumner has been promoted from her role as Head of Claims for Australia and will now oversee the delivery of claims services throughout Asia, Europe, and Australia.
Her experience with AXA XL dates back to 2012 when she began as a Senior Claims Specialist in Financial Lines within Australia at XL Catlin. Since then, she has risen through the ranks holding various positions, including Regional Claims Practice Leader for Financial Lines in the Asia Pacific and Head of Claims for Australia. She is also a member of AXA XL’s 2023/2024 Leadership Team Advisory Council.
Louis meanwhile brings a wealth of experience to her new role as Chief Operating Officer.
Having joined AXA XL in 2012, Louis has progressed through several senior positions within the organisation, including her previous role as Global Head IT Risks & Governance for the company’s Global Technology division. Prior to her tenure at AXA XL, Louis spent time as engaged as a Senior Consultant at Capgemini.
