Chubb has appointed John Latter as Head of Claims for Chubb Overseas General (COG), effective immediately, the company announced in a statement.
Based in London, Latter has been with Chubb since 2017, most recently serving as Senior Vice President and Claims Director for Europe, Eurasia, and Africa. In the role, he led strategic claims direction for property, casualty, financial lines, marine, aviation, and energy claims.
In his new role, Latter will oversee Chubb’s claims organisation across Europe, Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Latin America, and the Far East, managing a team of 3,000 professionals.
Latter brings nearly four decades of experience across the insurance industry. Prior to Chubb, he served at Zurich Insurance for nearly 33 years where he held several senior claims roles with both UK and international responsibilities, most notably as Director of Claims Technical Centre, according to LinkedIn.
Paul McNamee, Executive Vice President of Chubb Group and President of Overseas General Insurance, commented on Latter’s appointment, stating, “Our claims organization is a hallmark of Chubb, and we are confident John will continue to maintain our culture of high performance and service while ensuring we transform COG Claims to meet the evolving needs of our clients.”
