David Wang has joined Starr as Head of Financial Lines, Asia Pacific, the company announced on LinkedIn on Monday, 21 July.
Before joining Starr, Wang served at Zurich for nearly 15 years, most recently as Head of Financial Lines for Singapore.
In his new role, he will lead Starr’s expanding Asia Pacific Financial Lines teams, driving underwriting strategies and delivering optimal business results throughout the region, the business said in its announcement.
Wang brings over 20 years of experience in the APAC insurance market and strong technical expertise across all Financial Lines products, including Management Liability, Professional Indemnity, Financial Institutions, and Cyber. Prior to Zurich, he held roles at Continental Insurance Brokers and Sinosafe General Insurance in China.
Wang’s hiring follows another recent key appointment in the region for Starr, with PeiQi Lee last week named Head of Casualty for Asia Pacific.
