Gallagher has named Venu Madhav Matoory as Specialist – Oil, Gas & Petrochemical Risk in India, the global broker announced on LinkedIn.
Matoory joins Gallagher after more than 20 years at ICICI Lombard, where he built the energy and marine portfolio and took part in working groups on insurance matters under the Department of Financial Services, according to the announcement.
“An ex-mariner with a Master (FG) license, Captain Venu brings rich on-ground experience from crude, chemical, and gas tankers. At Gallagher, he will be driving growth in this specialised segment,” the company said.
Matoory has over 31 years of experience in energy and marine risks and during his career has advised oil field operators, offshore rig owners, shipyards, ports, and ship owners.
