Gallagher Re has appointed Satoshi Yamazaki as Senior Manager in Tokyo, the business announced on Tuesday (13 May).
Yamazaki was previously Vice President and Senior Property Treaty Underwriter at Swiss Re, focusing on natural catastrophe risks. He has also held senior treaty and facultative underwriting roles at other leading reinsurers, with postings in major reinsurance hubs including London, Bermuda, Zurich, and Singapore.
In addition to his reinsurance background, Yamazaki has worked in engineering roles across the energy and materials sectors at firms such as Tenaris, Wood Group, TWI, and Civil Engineering Dynamics.
“We have no doubt that his technical expertise and market relationships will further enhance our client proposition,” Gallagher said in its LinkedIn post.
