Generali Global Corporate & Commercial (GC&C) on Thursday (26 Sep) announced two strategic appointments in its leadership team for the Asia region: effective 30 Sep, Winnie Chu will assume the role of Head of Financial Lines Underwriting Asia and Joshua Lynch will take on the position of Head of Business Development Asia.

Chu joins Generali from AIG Hong Kong, where she most recently served as Head of Financial Institutions. She has also been a member of the AIG International Financial Lines Community of Practice, representing Asia in formulating financial institutions’ underwriting strategies. Prior to her time at AIG, she was part of the Financial Lines team at Chubb Hong Kong.

Lynch comes to Generali from Lloyd’s, where he most recently served as Regional Market Development Manager for Asia Pacific, Middle East & Africa, based in Singapore. Lynch has over 12 years of industry experience, having spent nearly 10 years at Lloyd’s in various development and operational roles across the UK, Hong Kong, and Singapore, including as Country Manager for Hong Kong SAR and Delegated Authorities Regional Manager for APAC.
