Specialty (re)insurer AXIS has appointed Lori Bailey as Head of Cyber and Technology.

In her new role, Bailey will oversee the company’s Global Cyber and Technology team and be responsible for shaping the division’s strategy, driving profitability and growth goals, leading the global team, and enhancing customer relationships, the company said.

“Lori is a highly regarded leader within the Cyber space and is exceptionally well-suited to run our industry-recognized Global Cyber and Technology business,” said Mark Gregory, Head of Global Markets at AXIS.

Bailey succeeds Dan Trueman and will work with him to ensure a smooth transition during the next months. She will report to Gregory in New York.

Bailey joined AXIS in June 2023 as the Global Head of Growth within the Global Cyber and Technology team. Prior to joining AXIS, she served as Chief Insurance Officer at cyber-focused MGA Corvus and held senior positions at Zurich Insurance Group, AIG, and Marsh.

“She brings an established track record of leading teams, driving profitable business growth, and building strong customer relationships,” said Gregory.

AXIS Capital is a global specialty underwriter and provider of (re)insurance solutions with shareholders’ equity of US$5 bn as of March 31 2023. The company has locations in Bermuda, the US, Europe, Singapore, and Canada.
