HDI Global has announced the appointment of Michael Ahn as its new CEO of Hong Kong, effective from 1 November 2024.
Ahn, who is currently the Head of Business Solutions Asia Pacific at SCOR, brings over 31 years of insurance industry experience to his new role, including extensive knowledge of the Asia Pacific insurance market, particularly in commercial and specialty single risk lines and facultative reinsurance.
Daniel Lau, who has served as the CEO of the Hong Kong branch for 20 years and has been with the HDI group for 30 years, will transition to the role of Director, Asia Pacific Network. In his new position, Lau will focus on driving growth in International Programmes by leveraging his technical and local insurance expertise, HDI said.
