Malcolm has been with the business since 2017 and relocates permanently to Japan following a six-month secondment in the country.

HDI Global has announced that Clara Malcolm has moved to Japan to take on the role of Senior Underwriter for Liability and Specialty, effective as of 1 June 2024.

In a company statement on LinkedIn, HDI said, “Clara has been with HDI since 2017, with her underwriting experience to date gained at the HDI Global UK Branch, including a prior six-month secondment to HDI Japan.”

In her new role, Malcolm will be responsible for underwriting liability risks and will also lead in underwriting Cyber, Directors and Officers (D&O), and Professional Indemnity risks, the insurer added.

Malcolm began her career with Towergate Insurance in the UK in 2014 before moving to Fusion Insurance. She joined HDI Global in March 2017 as an Assistant Liability Underwriter and held several roles, including Senior Liability Underwriter from June 2022, until her recent move to Japan.
