AIG’s Grant Sheppard has joined Howden Australia as Head of Marine & Logistics, the global broker announced on LinkedIn on Tuesday.
Sheppard joins Howden from AIG, where he served for almost two decades, including as Head of Marine for Australasia.
The company described Sheppard as “well known in the market for his marine expertise, ideas and insights – and loves working with clients and broking colleagues to find solutions for the complex and technical.”
Commenting on his appointment, Sheppard said, “Howden’s investment in this space is a clear signal of the value placed on delivering exceptional outcomes for our clients. I’m looking forward to contributing to this momentum and helping shape the future of Marine & Logistics at Howden.”
His appointment follows key hires in Howden’s Australian units in recent months, including Tony Cengic as Head of Surety and Michael Herron as Head of Specialty.
