Cynthia Cui has been promoted to Head of Asia Pacific Facultative Reinsurance at Howden Re International, the company announced on LinkedIn on Thursday.

Cynthia joined the company in 2012 and has led growth for Howden Specialty in North Asia, including Taiwan, Korea, and Mainland China, the brokerage said in its announcement. In her new role, Cynthia will expand Howden Re’s Cedant Facultative business in the Asia-Pacific region, working closely with the Treaty team to provide tailored solutions for clients.

Commenting on the appointment, Luigi Boglione, Managing Director and Head of Facultative & Joint Ventures at Howden Re International, said, “Cynthia’s approach to client solutions, her commitment to innovation and delivery, and her depth of expertise across Lloyd’s and global facultative markets makes her the right leader to accelerate the growth of Howden Re’s Fac business in Asia-Pacific.”
