HSBC Life Hong Kong on Thursday (23 Jan) announced two key appointments, naming Gary Ngai as Head of Insurance Strategy, Insights and Performance, and Luis Alexandre Gomes as Head of Digital Health.

Ngai has been at HSBC Hong Kong since 2010, moving to HSBC Life in 2016, where he has served in key roles, including most recently as Head of Insurance Insights.

In his new role, Ngai will focus on business strategies, data-driven insights, and company engagements.

Gomes has been involved with HSBC operations since 2001, serving in different territories, such as Mexico, Bermuda, UK and Brazil. His tenure under HSBC Life began in 2011, and he has since served in key roles, the most recent being Chief Health Commercial Officer.

“Both Gary and Luis have made significant contributions during their time with HSBC Life in Hong Kong, demonstrating exceptional expertise in their respective fields,” the insurer said in its announcement.
