Hydor AS has appointed Marilyn Lim as claims handler in its Singapore office, the managing general agent said in a LinkedIn update on Monday.

Lim joins from AAL Shipping, where she served as senior legal & claims officer. She brings experience in handling Protection and Indemnity (P&I) and freight, demurrage and defence claims, as well as maritime legal matters and loss prevention.

“With her strong experience in maritime claims, legal matters and loss prevention, Marilyn will be a valuable addition to our team and enhance the support we provide to clients across the region,” Hydor said.

Founded in 2017, Hydor specialises in fixed-premium P&I and marine insurance for smaller vessels, with underwriting capacity supported by Lloyd’s syndicates and company paper. In 2023, Hydor strengthened its offerings by acquiring Rotterdam- and Singapore-based maritime MGA, EF Marine.

The appointment follows the company’s continued expansion in Asia Pacific. Last year, Allianz Commercial appointed Hydor as its managing general agent for marine liability insurance in APAC, granting it authority to underwrite policies from 1 June 2025.
