WTW has announced that Jill Comley-Forbes will be the head of its New Zealand operations, starting from January 2024.

Comley-Forbes has deep roots in the industry, having begun her career with State Insurance, with subsequent roles at Marsh & McLennan, Macandrew Insurances International, and Willis. She was with AON for over 13 years, including as General Manager of Business Excellence and most recently was Director of Broking at ICIB Brokerweb.

She replaces Michael Brown, who has decided to prioritise client-facing work.

Jill has an ability to drive success through building culture and engagement, which places her well in leading our WTW New Zealand team to move forward in the next phase of our business growth.

Simon Weaver, the Head of Asia Pacific and Head of Corporate Risk & Broking, Asia Pacific, at WTW, praised the hiring of Comley-Forbes.

“We are delighted to have Jill return to WTW, after working with Willis New Zealand for a period of six years in the early 2000s,” he said. “Jill has an ability to drive success through building culture and engagement, which places her well in leading our WTW New Zealand team to move forward in the next phase of our business growth.”

Weaver also commended Brown, recognising his significant contribution in his role and expressing appreciation for his direct approach in client service.

“As he moves into a newly created, client-facing leadership role, I would like to acknowledge the significant contribution that he has made to WTW,” Weaver stated. “[Brown’s] stewardship of our New Zealand operations has been inspiring as he maintained a strong focus on our clients, our people and our business, leading it to a position where we can look forward to accelerated growth.”
