Lockton Asia is strengthening its leadership bench, appointing Sandra Lee as chief growth officer – risk solutions, Asia, and Yuman Chan as chief growth officer – people solutions, Asia, the broker announced on Monday.

Based in Hong Kong, the new growth officers bring decades of industry expertise and a proven track record in scaling businesses.

Lee brings 22 years of experience in the legal, insurance brokerage, and risk management sectors. She joins from BMS Group, where she was CEO of Asia, a member of the BMS Asia executive committee, and director of the BMS Asia Board. Her career spans senior leadership and advisory roles in Singapore, Hong Kong, Beijing, and Paris, and she previously served as head of transaction liability insurance, Asia at Aon.

At Lockton, Lee will drive growth across all risk lines and markets in the region, with an initial focus on growth opportunities in Greater China.

Chan, meanwhile, brings nearly three decades of experience in the insurance and financial services sectors and joins from Bupa Hong Kong, where he most recently served as general manager. Specialising in strategy development, team building, and operational transformation, he previously held leadership roles at firms such as AIG, AIA and Cigna.

In this new role, Chan will drive growth in line with the People Solutions investment plan and oversee all North Asia markets, including Greater China, Japan, and South Korea.

“Sandra’s extensive experience, strategic insight, and client-first approach are an incredible addition to Lockton in Asia as we continue to strengthen our capabilities across the region,” said Tony Hardy, Asia CEO.

“Yuman’s leadership and deep expertise in People Solutions will be instrumental in advancing our ambitious growth agenda and supporting our clients’ evolving needs across Asia,” said Cedric Luah, Head of People Solutions, Asia.

Lockton said the appointments align with its commitment to driving regional expansion and deepening client relationships.

The global broker has announced several key hires in recent weeks across its Asia verticals. Last week, Lockton welcomed Siva Thangavelu as chief operating officer of Lockton Sime Malaysia. The previous month, it appointed Nicholas Lee as CEO Designate of Malaysia and Jaideep (Jay) Sharma as CEO of India.
