Manulife Vietnam have appointed Tina Nguyen as its new Chief Executive Officer (CEO), pending regulatory approval. She joins from Generali Vietnam Life, where she served as CEO for seven years.
Before her time at Generali, Nguyen held various positions at Prudential Vietnam for over a decade, including General Manager of Marketing and Partnership Distribution, Chief Customer Officer, Chief Strategy Officer, and Finance Director.
“Tina’s strong leadership and passion for customer experience will be instrumental in deepening customer centricity in Vietnam.”
Nguyen also has experience working as a Financial Controller at Texas Electric Cooperatives in the US and as an auditor at Ernst & Young in various locations across Asia and the Americas.
“Tina’s joining reinforces our focus on accelerating the growth in Vietnam and other emerging markets in Asia,” said Phil Witherington, President and CEO for Asia at Manulife.
“(Her) strong leadership and passion for customer experience will be instrumental in deepening customer centricity in Vietnam,” he added.

Manulife Vietnam, a branch of the Toronto-based life insurer, has over 1.5 million customers and a network of 80 offices in the Asian country.
