Lockton has named Marcus Pearson as the new CEO of Lockton Pacific, overseeing the company’s operations in Australia and New Zealand. He succeeds Paul Marsden, who will transition into a consultancy role after nearly eight years as CEO, focusing on client relationships.

Based in Brisbane, Pearson has extensive industry experience, having held senior roles at Marsh, including Pacific Head of Marsh Specialty and Chief Commercial Officer of Marsh McLennan Pacific. He also served as CEO of Marsh New Zealand for more than eight years and previously worked at JLT Australia in Sydney for over seven years.

“Marcus is a seasoned insurance executive who has held a wide variety of leadership roles,” commented Lockton International CEO Chris Brown. “He is a passionate, engaging, and accomplished leader who will enable us to realise our bold ambitions in the region,” Brown added.

Marsden, based in Perth, has been with Lockton for 13 years. His previous roles include positions at Australian Reliance Group and Aon.
