Marsh Japan has appointed Kazutoyo Kobayashi as senior vice president of credit specialties, the insurance broker announced on Tuesday.
Based in Tokyo, Kobayashi brings extensive experience in credit and political risk insurance, having worked in various insurance and reinsurance companies in Japan.
He joins Marsh from Munich Re, where he served as client manager for three years. Prior to this, he was an executive underwriter at Chubb and Japan divisional manager at Euler Hermes.
“Kobayashi is known for his client-centric approach, strong commercial judgement, and ability to build high-performing partnerships across markets,” said Mark Wong, managing director at Credit Specialties Asia, welcoming him to the Marsh Japan team.
His move comes after Marsh recently agreed to acquire ENEOS Insurance Service and ENEOS Material Trading’s insurance business to strengthen its commercial insurance and risk advisory footprint in Japan.
