McLarens has appointed Andy Donnelly as executive loss adjuster in Australia, the company said in a LinkedIn update on Friday.

Based in Melbourne, Donnelly brings more than 25 years of experience in commercial property loss adjusting, including over 15 years specialising in major and complex claims.

He joins McLarens after five years as an executive adjuster at Integra Technical Services Ltd. Earlier in his career, he held loss adjusting roles at Crawford & Co, Cerno and GAB Robins.

Donnelly has managed claims arising from major fire, storm, bushfire and water damage events across commercial property, public infrastructure, strata, hospitality, construction and education.

“Andy’s appointment further strengthens our major loss capability in Australia and the depth of experience available to our clients,” the global loss adjuster said.

The appointment comes as McLarens expands its commercial property and claims handling capabilities in Australia. In June, the loss adjuster acquired Melbourne-based Property & Forensic Assessing, which specialises in construction, commercial property and financial loss claims.

Following the acquisition, McLarens appointed Torben Bell as managing director of its Australia operations, succeeding Martyn Wicht.

The latest move also comes shortly after McLarens appointed Lam Choy Heng as managing director of its Malaysia business, as part of the company’s ongoing investment in the Asian country.
