Prudential Financial has appointed Brad Hearn as president and chief executive officer of Prudential Holdings of Japan, effective October 10, the company announced in a media release.

Hearn, who brings 30 years of experience, joined Prudential in 2018 and has been serving as chief operating officer for the company’s Japan operations.

He will succeed Motofusa Hamada, who will stay with the business as an advisor until the end of the year to support a smooth transition.

Speaking on the appointment, Andy Sullivan, Prudential Financial’s Chief Executive Officer, said, “I’m confident in Brad’s leadership and his ability to drive growth across our Japan operations.”
