HDI Global has elevated Stevan Bonic to the role of Technical Underwriting Manager Engineering for Australasia, the insurer announced on Wednesday in a company statement on LinkedIn.
Bonic has been with HDI Global for over four years and has been serving as Underwriting Manager Engineering, Southern Region since January 2023. The promotion will see an expansion of his responsibilities to include the Northern Region in addition to his existing Southern Region remit.
In his new role, Bonic reports to Haris Michaels, Engineering Underwriting Manager, Australasia.
“Stevan’s promotion is well deserved and testament to his excellent leadership of the Southern Region portfolio that he will now also bring to our Northern Region brokers and clients,” says Michaels.

Before his tenure at HDI Global, Bonic served as a Senior Construction Underwriter at AIG, where he served for five years. He also held the position of Underwriter – Construction & Engineering at CGU Insurance and had a short stint as an Engineer at IAG.
