TaeHan Kim joins HDI Global as Liability Underwriting Manager for North Asia

Kim joins after more than ten years at SCOR and has relocated to Hong Kong for the new role.

HDI Global has named TaeHan Kim as Underwriting Manager for Liability, North Asia, the industrial insurer announced on LinkedIn.

Kim joins after more than ten years at global reinsurer SCOR and moved from Sydney to Hong Kong to take on the new role.

He brings 30 years’ experience in underwriting liability and financial lines, across both direct and reinsurance products, having worked in Australia, Korea, Switzerland, Singapore, and the United States.

Speaking on the appointment, Michael Ahn, Chief Executive of HDI Hong Kong, said the business was thrilled to welcome Kim’s significant expertise and leadership. “His innovative approach and strong relationships with local markets will enhance our ability to deliver tailored insurance solutions to our partners,” Ahn added.

Before SCOR, Kim held roles at Swiss Re and DaeHan Fire & Marine Insurance.
