Japan-based managing general agent (MGA) Time Machine Underwriters has appointed Shuko Shikatani as chief financial officer and underwriter, and Sumiyo Yamamoto as underwriter, Kosuke Inada, the company’s founder and CEO, announced on Monday.
Shikatani joins the specialty warranty & indemnity (W&I) MGA after serving as executive officer responsible for finance and regulatory relations at Yamap Nature-Insurance. Earlier, he worked in the insurance advisory practice at PwC Japan. He is also a certified public accountant.
Meanwhile, Yamamoto previously served as senior legal counsel at AIG General Insurance Company. Earlier in her career, she practised as an attorney with Anderson Mori & Tomotsune and Tokei Partners, advising clients on corporate matters including mergers and acquisitions and litigation.
