Aon has appointed Wesley Roy as Head of Property for Australia and New Zealand within its Reinsurance Solutions division, Paul Grasso, the company’s Head of Treaty ANZ, announced on LinkedIn.
Based in Sydney, Roy rejoins Aon from Hollard Insurance, where he worked for over five years, most recently as Head of Reinsurance.
Roy previously worked at Aon from 2011 to 2019, spending nearly eight years across the brokerage’s Sydney and London offices, including on treaty broking and technical accounts.
In his new role, he is responsible for leading property best practices to support clients in managing the complexities of the property insurance and reinsurance sector across the region, Grasso said.
Roy brings more than 20 years of experience to his new role. He has gained expertise in (re)insurance, covering operations, underwriting, broking, client management, and reinsurance programme management throughout his career. During his career, he has worked for companies such as CBD Underwriting, Willis Re, Vero, and QBE Insurance.
