Willis has appointed Mark Thompson as its new Director, Regional Construction, Nicki Tilney, Head of Construction and Natural Resources for the business, announced on LinkedIn on Wednesday, July 2.
Thompson previously held the role of Broking Director for Construction for the Pacific Region and has relocated from Sydney to Hong Kong in order to take up the new role.
He brings over 25 years of industry experience in claims, underwriting and broking for large and complex construction projects and programs, with Tilney commenting that his broad experience will “without a doubt prove invaluable in supporting our evolving clients’ needs, as well as our growth ambitions across the region.”
Thompson’s move to Hong Kong follows a series of appointments that Willis has announced over the last month. The brokerage hired Daphne Duan Wheal, who moved from Marsh to join as Director of Strategic Risk Consulting (SRC) for Asia. Last week it also announced the appointment of Arushi Arora as the new Head of Claims for FINEX India at Willis.
