Hollard Insurance Australia has appointed Mark Adams as chief risk officer, the company announced on 8 October.
Adams joined the business after spending over seven years at Westpac Group, where he most recently served as chief risk officer of Westpac Institutional Bank and Treasury. He also held senior leadership roles at the Australian Prudential Regulation Authority and National Australia Bank earlier in his career.
“Mark brings deep expertise and leadership across risk and governance, and a practical understanding of how strong risk management underpins sustainable business performance,” the company said in its announcement.
The appointment follows Hollard’s efforts to support portfolio growth and partnership development across Australia and New Zealand. In July, the insurer promoted Tony Martiniello to the newly created role of head of distribution.
