Hollard Insurance has promoted Tony Martiniello to the newly created role of head of distribution, where he will be responsible for driving portfolio growth and developing partnerships across Australia and New Zealand.

Martiniello first joined Hollard in 2022 through its acquisition of CommInsure, where he was executive manager for product & entity management, and was most recently serving as head of product & underwriting.

Before joining Hollard, Martiniello spent more than 11 years at AIG in a series of senior leadership roles, including head of individual personal insurance for Australasia, head of personal property for Australasia, and head of direct insurance for Australia.

Suzi Leung, chief commercial officer at Hollard, said that Martiniello’s role is “central” to the business’s vision of becoming Australia’s “insurance partner of choice”.

“Tony has successfully cultivated close and trusted relationships with many of our current partners, and in combination with his deep product and underwriting experience, we believe he is well positioned to develop new partnerships to achieve that vision.”
