Willis Towers Watson has appointed Chintan Aashwini as director in its regional mergers & acquisitions team, the broker announced on Tuesday.
Based in Mumbai, Aashwini brings nine years of experience across M&A, private equity, and complex transaction advisory, with a base in corporate law.
Before joining WTW, Aashwini was a Senior Associate at Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co for five years. He has previously worked as an Associate at Khaitan and Co and AZB Partners. He brings experience advising global investors and leading corporates on cross-border and domestic transactions, particularly in risk allocation and W&I insurance.
The hire comes at a time of WTW’s renewed focus on scaling transactional risk solutions in the Indian and broader Asian market.
“Chintan’s addition reflects our continued investment in expanding the M&A and transactional risk practice in India and across the region, strengthening our ability to support clients through increasingly complex deal environments with differentiated, insurance-led solutions,” said Jeremy Wall, Global Head of FINEX at WTW.
Last week, Willis appointed Cheryl Lee to lead its financial lines business in Singapore, strengthening its leadership team in a key Asia Pacific market.
