Willis has named Joule Howard as Lead Broker for its Facultative business in Asia, effective 1 April, the global brokerage announced in a statement on LinkedIn.

Howard has been with WTW for over eight years, having worked in both the UK and Asia. He relocated to Singapore in January 2022, initially serving as an International Property Broker before being promoted to Head of Pacific Property for Asia in late 2023.

In his new role, Howard will oversee complex facultative deals across all business lines in Asia, while providing carriers access to international markets in Asia, London, and the Middle East to help meet their retro and fac requirements, WTW said.

“Joule is recognised within the Asian insurance industry for his energy and commitment to providing wholesale insurance solutions to large APAC clients,” said Ben Dunston, Head of Placement, Asia at Willis.

Dunston added that, following his successful stint as Head of Pacific Property for Asia, Howard is now “ideally positioned to replicate that success on behalf of domestic and international insurers in the Asia region.”
