Howden has appointed Alaric Lee as Chief Commercial Officer for Asia, effective 1 December 2025, the global broker announced on Monday.
Lee joins Howden after 15 years at Marsh, where he most recently served as Managing Director and Corporate & Commercial Leader for Marsh Asia. In that role, he oversaw regional strategies for the middle-market and SME segments and led teams across several markets.
Chye Huat, Chair of Howden Asia, welcomed Lee to Howden, stating, “His deep regional experience, commercial acumen, and proven leadership will be instrumental in accelerating our growth ambitions and delivering value to our clients across Asia.”
The move comes as the business actively expands its presence and service offerings across Asia Pacific. This month, it launched marine services in Japan, appointing Koji Aragane to lead the segment. In India, Howden was involved in developing a parametric insurance pilot for cyclone-exposed coastal communities. In October, the company also expanded its footprint in New Zealand through the acquisition of Auckland-based broker Omni.
