Great American Insurance Company has appointed Nattakorn “Natt” Wattanaumphaipong as senior director of technical underwriting for its Singapore branch, the business announced in a media release on Monday.
Before joining Great American, Wattanaumphaipong was deputy chief underwriting officer at specialty (re)insurer Canopius Group, a business he served at for over six years.
In his new role, Wattanaumphaipong will be responsible for technical underwriting and portfolio management, and for implementing underwriting strategies aligned with the branch’s growth plans.
He brings more than 20 years of experience in the insurance and reinsurance industry across the Asia-Pacific region. Prior to his time at Canopius, he worked at Swiss Re for eight years, including in senior positions such as Head of Property Underwriting for Asia and head of P&C China, according to his LinkedIn profile.
