Allianz Commercial Japan has appointed Casey Sandler as division manager of distribution management at Allianz Fire and Marine Insurance Japan Ltd, effective 1 March 2026, the insurer announced in a media release on Monday. The business also announced that Sandler will take on the role of director of distribution management from 11 March 2026, pending regulatory approval.
“Casey will spearhead the refreshed distribution strategy in Japan as Allianz Commercial strengthens strategic partnerships and expands its market presence in the country,” the business said.
Sandler is a trained accountant with more than a decade of experience across insurance and finance operations. He joins from HDI Global, where he most recently served as interim managing director and legal representative for its Japan operations.
His appointment follows another recent hire from HDI Global Japan: last month, Darren Livengood was appointed as director and general manager for claims in the country.
The hires come after Allianz Commercial also refreshed its Japan leadership in August last year, appointing Brian Jinzenji as president and Yuichiro Funabashi as executive vice president for the country.
