Hannover Re has named Prateek Maheshwari as Chief Financial Officer of its India branch, the reinsurer announced on LinkedIn on Thursday.
Maheshwari joined Hannover Re in 2017 as Finance Manager for the India branch. Prior to his new appointment, he served as Financial Accountant for Hannover Life Re of Australasia. Before joining Hannover, he spent nearly four years at Munich Re.
He also brings more than 20 years of experience in accounting, taxation, and regulatory compliance, and is a Chartered Accountant and a Fellow Member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India.
His appointment comes after another C-suite move by the reinsurer this month, when Hannover Re announced that Kun Huang had been appointed as its new China CEO.
