Australia’s Aviso Specialty has hired a string of senior staff from rival broker Lockton, unveiling 21 appointments as the business ramps up its expansion and investment in its national capability.
In a media relase on Thursday, the Ardonagh Group-backed broker announed it had appointed Patrick Moore as general manager, growth and client strategy; Nick Turley as state executive for Western Australia; Steven Autrey as head of care, community and mission; Dean Currie as head of people risk solutions; Stephen Kerridge as head of mining and resources; and Peter Barron, who moves to lead the business’s services-to-industry capability in WA.
The other appointments announced, by practice area, are:
- Care, Community & Mission: Shelley Fraser (Broking Manager); Charlie Leefe (Senior Account Executive)
- Corporate (Queensland): Nicole Ossedryver (Account Director); Anthony Stein (Senior Account Executive); Elissa Taylor (Senior Account Executive)
- Financial Lines (Victoria): Jo Lucas (Financial Lines Leader)
- Growth & Client Strategy: Oliver O’Gorman (Head of Growth & Client Strategy); Dan Parks (National Manager); James O’Dwyer (National Manager)
- Marketing: Andrew North (Head of Marketing)
- Mining & Resources: Dan Agostino (Account director); Gemma King (Broking Manager); Tina Long (Senior Account Executive)
- People Risk Solutions: Kerry Kostevski (Account Director)
Chief executive Travis Kemp said the appointments reflect a “disciplined and long-term approach to building the right capability for clients”, adding: “These leaders are recognised for building high-performing teams and delivering client-first outcomes.”
Aviso Specialty operates nationwide, with more than 150 staff across offices in Melbourne, Sydney, Brisbane, Canberra, Darwin and Perth, and it has employee ownership backing as well as support from Envest, part of The Ardonagh Group.
