Canara HSBC Life Insurance has re-appointed Soly Thomas as its deputy chief executive officer and chief distribution officer, bancassurance, the business announced on 11 February.
In his re-appointment, he will report to Anuj Mathur, CEO and managing director, and will continue to lead the company’s bancassurance business.
Thomas has been with the company since 2008, serving as a founding member who has shaped the business’s growth trajectory and strengthened its market position, particularly by building its bancassurance distribution strategy, the insurer said.
“Soly’s relentless commitment, deep market understanding, vintage and strategic leadership have been pivotal to the company’s success,” Mathur commented. “His contribution in building and scaling our distribution ecosystem has been exemplary … [and] we look forward to leveraging his insights as we drive the organisation into its next phase of sustainable growth.”
Commenting on his redesignation, Soly Thomas said: “I am truly honoured by the trust and confidence the board and the company have placed in me. This recognition reflects the collective effort of our teams and partners over the years. I look forward to working closely with the leadership group to further consolidate our strengths, enhance customer value, and accelerate the company’s long–term growth agenda.”
