Aon has appointed Nazirah Din Taouk as regional director, marine, Asia, Stephen Rudman, the broker’s head of marine for Asia, announced on LinkedIn on Wednesday.

Singapore-based Taouk joins from Marsh, where she spent over six years and most recently served as Asia-Pacific claims advocacy leader. Prior to her time there, she worked at legal firms RPC, Clyde & Co, and Colin Ng & Partners. She also holds a Master of Laws in Maritime Law.

“Naz joins Aon at a pivotal time and will play a key role in driving the continued growth of our marine business across Asia,” Rudman said. “A marine (re)insurance lawyer by background, Naz brings a strong track record from her head of advocacy roles across Asia, where she has worked closely with clients, regulators, and market stakeholders on complex and evolving risk issues.”

Taouk’s appointment comes amid a series of key appointments by Aon in Asia-Pacific since the turn of the year. On the same day last week, the business promoted Anita Vivekananda to MD of transaction solutions for the region and appointed Quinton Kotze as its new head of cyber for Australia.

Other appointments in 2026 include George Attard, the former APAC head of reinsurance, being promoted to global head of analytics for Aon Re; Darren Oliver as APAC head of market development for health solutions; and Karl Hamann as chief executive for the Philippines.
