Aon Australia has promoted Alexander Eakins to client director, cyber solutions, according to a LinkedIn post from Drew Trahms, national placement director.
Eakins first joined Aon in 2006 and has worked in Sydney and London during his career at the broker, and has spent the past 20 years building expertise in cyber, financial services, and complex risk placements, Trahms said.
Prior to his promotion, Eakins was cyber property damage practice leader within Aon’s Cyber Solutions Group Trahms said the promotion “recognises Alex’s sustained contribution to Aon, his leadership within our cyber practice, and the importance of continued investment in high‑quality cyber risk advisory for clients across Australia.”
His promotion follows a run of Asia personnel updates for Aon, including today’s news that Jukgrid Treesuttamas had been appointed senior adviser for Aon Re in Thailand. Other moves in the last week include Nazirah Din Taouk as regional director for marine, Asia, the expansion of Nick Chapman’s remit as marine risk engineering lead, Asia, and the appointment of Nathan Cheung as director and head of construction, power and infrastructure in Hong Kong.
