Chubb has promoted Adrian Habils to the position of Head of Property, Asia within its general insurance business.
Habils is being promoted from his current position as Deputy Property Manager, ANZ for Chub. He will assume the responsibility of overseeing the financial performance of the company’s Property portfolio in Asia starting from October 1st 2023. He will be headquartered in Singapore, assuming an interim reporting line to Paul McNamee, Regional President of Asia Pacific.
Habils boasts an extensive background in the realm of property insurance that spans the past two decades. In 2008, he embarked on his professional journey at Chubb’s predecessor company, assuming the role of Property Underwriting Manager in Adelaide, Australia. Since then, he has navigated through a series of positions in property underwriting and management across the Australian landscape.
“(Habils) is an experienced leader with deep property insurance expertise. He is passionate about our business and has been instrumental in shaping the property portfolio in Australia and New Zealand,” said McNamee.
“As an organisation, we remain focused on promoting from within and we look forward to Adrian moving into his new role where he will continue to drive our property business forward in Asia.”
It is expected for Habils will play a crucial role in enhancing underwriting, sales, and servicing standards for Chubb’s property portfolio throughout the region.
