Howden India has appointed Suresh Subramanium as executive vice president and head of employee benefits for western India, the broker announced in a LinkedIn post on Thursday.
Based in Mumbai, Subramanium has been with Howden since September. He brings over 25 years of experience in employee benefits, business management and client advisory.
Earlier in his career, he worked in business development and consulting roles across the insurance broking and advisory sectors. He held senior roles at WTW, Prudential Insurance Brokers, Mercer Marsh Benefits and Global Insurance Brokers.
“His career reflects a strong track record of navigating complex client environments and delivering value through thoughtful, insight-led approaches,” the company said in its announcement.
The appointment forms part of a series of recent leadership moves by Howden across Asia, with the broker naming Anthony Hong as head of surety for Asia, Cindy Yeo as director for M&A in Asia, Alaric Lee as chief executive officer of Hong Kong, Cyndi Villamor as chief client officer for corporate risk services in the Philippines, and Ram KS as growth leader for sales in India.
