The Southeast Asia Disaster Risk Insurance Facility (SEADRIF) has appointed Felicia Khoo as strategic development lead, the company announced on Monday.
Khoo joins SEADRIF in July after two years with Swiss Re, where she most recently served as senior regulatory risk manager and vice-president.
She brings over seven years of experience across the public and private insurance sectors, “working closely with governments, regulators, academia and industry partners on insurance market development, emerging risks and regional collaboration.” Before Swiss Re, she held senior roles at Global Asia Insurance Partnership, the Monetary Authority of Singapore and EY.
In her new role, Khoo will work across both business and product development, as well as partnerships.
The announcement follows several senior hires made by SEADRIF this year, including Xinmei Zheng as Chief Operating Officer (COO). The firm also recently appointed Richard Poulter to lead the development of SEADRIF’s Sovereign Asset and Fiscal Empowerment (SAFE) facility, with Ayumi Kato onboarded to support donor engagement.
