Aon has appointed Omair Deen as director within its Life Solutions (PathWise) team in Singapore, the broker announced on Friday.
Deen joins Aon after working for almost three years at Deloitte Consulting, where he most recently served as a senior manager and led the firm’s actuarial modelling centre for Southeast Asia.
He brings more than a decade of industry experience. Before Deloitte, Deen spent nearly eight years with FIS and its predecessor, SunGard, holding actuarial and insurance risk roles across Asia Pacific, the Middle East, Africa and Europe.
“Omair brings deep experience in actuarial systems, IFRS 17 and large-scale transformation, having led complex platform implementations and multidisciplinary teams across multiple markets,” said Devadeep Gupta, managing director for Aon PathWise.
In his new role, Deen will work with insurers and reinsurers across Asia Pacific on actuarial operating model and technology transformation, including the use of PathWise, cloud, data and artificial intelligence.
The appointment comes amid a broader run of Aon hires across Asia. Most recently, the broker named Tanvee Mehta as alternative risk transfer leader for Asia. Earlier this month, it appointed Harrison Willing as associate director for Natural Resources in Asia, while recent Singapore appointments have included Stara Low as head of growth for Health Solutions.
