Oneglobal Broking has appointed Dan Dibden as chief commercial officer for digital assets in Hong Kong, the broker announced on Monday.

In his new role, Dibden will focus on digital assets insurance and contribute to Oneglobal’s commercial development in the segment.

Commenting on the appointment, Sirikit Oh, CEO for Asia at Oneglobal, said: “Dan has a proven track record of building businesses, developing strategic partnerships and driving growth. We are excited about the contribution he will make as we continue to strengthen our commercial capabilities and expand our presence across the region.”

Before joining the broker, Dibden most recently co-founded Hong Kong-based Fraction Brokers Asia, where he focused on insurance solutions for the digital assets sector. Before that, he spent more than four years as co-founder and managing partner of Capstone Insurance Brokers.

He brings more than 17 years of insurance industry experience spanning broking, underwriting, managing general agencies, business development and leadership roles across the UK and Asia.

Dibden also held roles with Nexus Group, Cooper Gay & Co, Beazley, Barbican Insurance Group and Randall & Quilter, among others. His expertise also includes specialty and financial lines, as well as insurance for digital asset businesses.

Dibden’s appointment follows a separate leadership move in Singapore, where Oneglobal named Fabien Goutoulli as chief executive officer.
