Prudential Singapore CEO Chan San San will step down to take on a newly created role as chief partnership officer at Eastspring Investments, the insurer’s asset management business, effective 28 September 2026.

Based in Singapore, she will report to Eastspring CEO Rajeev Mittal and join the asset manager’s executive management committee, Prudential said on Thursday.

San San joined Prudential in 2024 after serving as managing director and global market manager at Citi Private Bank across Singapore, Malaysia and Thailand. She has more than 22 years of experience in consumer wealth and private banking.

As CEO of Prudential Singapore, Chan oversaw the insurer’s distribution network, including its financial advisory arm, Prudential Financial Advisers (PFA) Singapore. In July, Yuting Lim was appointed CEO of PFA after holding several senior roles across the wider Prudential Group.

In her new role at Eastspring, San San will work on collaboration between Prudential’s life insurance businesses and its asset management operations, with a focus on investment, wealth and retirement solutions across Asia.

Following San San’s departure, Dr Andreas Rosenthal will serve as interim CEO of Prudential Singapore while the company searches for a permanent chief.

Rosenthal joined Prudential Singapore in 2017, serving as chief financial officer until 2025 before becoming chief enterprise value delivery officer at Prudential plc. He has more than 25 years of experience across finance, actuarial and strategy roles in Asian insurance markets.

The leadership changes follow a series of senior appointments at Prudential Singapore in recent months. In July, the insurer named Manu Tandon as chief health and protection officer. Earlier, Jimmy Wang joined as chief actuary, succeeding Lee Jiat Liauw, who was promoted to chief product officer.

The appointments come as Prudential reported stronger first-half results. The group’s new business profit rose 8% year-on-year on a constant exchange rate basis to US$1.38bn in H1 2026. Singapore’s new business profit increased 5% to US$201m over the same period.
