Derek Martin has taken up new responsibility as the Head of APA Claims at Munich Re, as of September 1st 2023.
Operating from Sydney, Martin will report to Christine Prendegast, Munich Re’s Global Head of Claims. His duties will include supervising regional claims centres across Asia, Australia, and Africa.
Before this promotion, Martin had been serving as Munich Re’s Head of Claims in Australia and New Zealand since the start of 2020.
Via a social media post, Martin shared his delight about his new role, also praising his claims team as “the best in the business.”
