Chubb has appointed Kathleen Warden as head of property and casualty (P&C) for Australia and New Zealand, effective October 2026, the company announced on Tuesday.

Warden returns to the business from AIG, where she has worked for over three years, most recently as chief executive officer for Australia. She brings extensive industry experience to her new role.

Before AIG, she held senior roles at Berkshire Hathaway and Berkley Insurance Australia. She first joined Chubb in 2008 and worked in underwriting roles covering executive protection and financial institutions until 2012.

“Her technical underwriting expertise and deep local market experience will be instrumental to the continued strategic growth of our P&C portfolio,” Chubb said in its announcement.

The appointment follows other leadership changes across Chubb’s regional operations. The insurer recently named Jon Longmore as New Zealand country president, with Gurudutt Joglekar succeeding him as country president in Malaysia.
