AXA XL has appointed Manuel Meier as its Chief Client Officer (CCO), a newly created role which is part of the company’s leadership team.

Meier will report directly to CEO Scott Gunter and his role will involve working with strategic partners across AXA XL’s business units to represent their voice, enhance the client experience, and foster long-standing partnerships.

He will also oversee the development and optimisation of the Digital Commercial Platform (DCP) — a key initiative designed to amplify AXA’s value proposition, with a focus on protection and preventive services. Additionally, Meier will work closely with AXA XL’s Risk Consulting solutions team to develop comprehensive and tailored solutions for clients.

Meier has twenty years industry experience and has been with AXA XL for five years. Prior to his appointment as CCO, he served as Chief Transformation Officer and has also previously held the position of Country Manager for AXA XL in Switzerland. Prior to joining AXA XL, his career involved broker roles and various leadership positions at Zurich Insurance across Europe and America.

CEO Gunter commented on the appointment, “Manuel’s extensive industry experience from client-facing roles makes him an ideal fit for this position. We look forward to developing this new role further and receiving valuable feedback from our clients.”

He also added context to the strategic internal change, “Leveraging our established risk engineering expertise and the newly formed DCP, we plan to integrate our risk and prevention knowledge with tech and data capabilities all while keeping our clients at the heart of our business.”
