Global loss adjuster Sedgwick has announced the appointment of Derek Roberts as its new Chief Operating Officer for Australia.
An industry veteran with over 18 years of experience, Roberts boasts an accomplished career with a strong knowledge of global financial services across several countries, including Australia, Malaysia, South Africa, the UK and the US.
He was CEO of AmGeneral Insurance Berhad from 2014 to 2020 and joins Sedgwick from UnityCorp Asia in Malaysia, where he was also CEO.
Roberts will oversee Sedgwick’s operations and service delivery to clients in Australia. His oversight covers multiple areas of the business, including claims management, property, professional services, workforce absence, and compensation programs.
