Gallagher Re has announced Tai Hui Yen’s promotion to Regional Director of South East Asia, Korea & Taiwan, with Arshwin Shanmuganathan named Deputy Regional Director for the same regions.

Both promotions are effective from 1 September.

Tai has been with the global reinsurance broker since 2012 and her prior experience includes roles at Asia Capital Re, Deloitte, and CGU Insurance.

Shanmuganathan joined Gallagher Re in April 2022, having previously worked at businesses including Swiss Re, Willis Re, Munich Re, and KPMG.

Gallagher Re concurrently announced that Mark Morley, the current Head of APAC, will be promoted to the role of Deputy Chairman of Gallagher Re International and Chairman of Asia Pacific, with Mark O’Brien—who serves as Head of Southeast Asia, Korea & Taiwan—taking on the role of Managing Director for the region.

“These appointments reflect our commitment to driving growth, leveraging our expertise, and delivering exceptional results for our clients,” said Dirk Spenner, CEO, International at Gallagher Re International.

“These changes will further strengthen our position in the market and support our continued revenue growth,” Spenner added.
