Sun Life on Thursday (19 September) announced Randy Lianggara will join the business in the newly created role of President, Emerging Markets, Asia, effective 1 Nov 2024.
This role will see Lianggara drive growth across Sun Life’s businesses in Indonesia, Vietnam, Malaysia, as well as overseeing its joint venture with China Everbright Group in mainland China.
He will join Sun Life from Aviva, where he held roles including Regional CEO, Asia, and Regional CEO, China, Indonesia, and Vietnam. Prior, he spent ten years as CEO of AXA Indonesia.
In line with the move, Lianggara joins Sun Life’s Asia Executive Team and reports to Manjit Singh, President, Asia.
